Social Studies
The Social Studies Department seeks to enhance students’ understanding of historical events and contemporary issues in a manner which reflects Christian values and democratic principles. The department strives to prepare students to assess long term consequences of historical events, analyze social issues and synthesize data to create realistic solutions to present day problems. The development of these skills will enable the students to develop a sense of solidarity with others and empower them to respond through service and political advocacy on the part of the marginalized.
