Sophomores pay tribute to Mary

Miss Shannon Laurent's religion explored the different names of Mary in which students learned about the many devotions under which Catholics know the mother of Jesus. Students studied the many devotions to Our Lady, such as Our Lady of Lourdes, and then as a small-group project produced costumes to reflect the uniqueness of each devotion. Each group had one student model Mary's attire, which included symbols particular to the devotion. Groups also had a "designer" who developed each costume and its symbols, and another student who explained the symbols to classmates.
