Four Academy students placed at the Foreign Language Festival held at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, and those students, pictured above, are Kaitlyn Fortuna, Carmenza Ramirez, Cresside Caldwell, and Lauren Jones.
Fortuna, a French 1 student, won 2nd Place in “French Poetry I;” Ramirez, a Spanish 2 student, took 3rd Place in “Spanish Prose by a Native Speaker;” Caldwell, a French 1 student, won 3rd Place in “French Prose I;” and Jones, a French 2 student, finished in 2nd Place for “French Poetry II.”
